The congregation of the Iglesia Bautista Mana (Manna Baptist Church) of Houston held their first worship service at Baptist Temple on Sunday, February 11, at 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the T. C. Jester Memorial Building at 230 West 20th Street, Houston 77008.

Recently displaced from their previous location in Oak Forest, Iglesia Mana has found their new home at Baptist Temple, in the Heights between Rutland and Yale Streets.
For a few weeks, they will hold their regular Sunday worship service at 12:30 p.m. in Baptist Temple’s Fellowship Hall.  Soon, Iglesia Bautista Mana will resume Sunday School and Bible Studies on Sunday mornings at 10:45 a.m., as well as Wednesday evening church-wide activities.
Iglesia Mana is a participating member church of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Union Baptist Association, and holds Sunday Schools, Bible Studies, Worship Services, and other events entirely in Spanish.  They welcome all people to join them.

Baptist Temple’s Senior Pastor, Rev. Kelly K. Burkhart, says, “We do not see them [members of Iglesia Bautista Mana] as people who are borrowing space in our building.  We do not see them merely as friends.  We see them as family – brothers and sisters in Christ.”

On Sunday, February 11, Rev. Burkhart introduced Iglesia Bautista Mana’s Pastor, Rev. Wilmer Zuleta, to the Baptist Temple congregation at the 11:00 a.m. worship service.  Rev. Zuleta reciprocated the introduction of Rev. Burkhart to the Iglesia Bautista Mana congregation at their own 12:30 p.m. worship service.

Join us in prayer for our brothers and sisters as they make the transition to their new home, and join us on Sunday morning to warmly welcome them to Baptist Temple.
